Space Respiration

The Urantia Book tells us that pervaded space massively breathes, in and out. Pervaded space is thought to be the surface area on the horizontal axis of a toroidal Multiverse which contains and supports the seven inhabitable superuniverses.
If, as the book suggests, the structure of the Multiverse turns out to be more steady-state than explosively Big Bang, then perhaps space respiration might go towards explaining what we think of as the expanding universe.
