Sunset at Elephant Butte

Elephant Butte in Arizona must have been a Native American sacred place. It still carries a powerful, yet gentle, energy. Being somewhat off the beaten track, and not as well known as the more well-trodden New Mexican Butte of the same name, it hasn’t been spoiled by tourism or defaced by scallywags.
Quite how the dragon slipped in remains a mystery to me--one of the perks of drawing from the intuition. But it would not surprise me if she didn’t have something to do with the sacred ceremonies that have been performed there.
