The Joy Machine

A large piece (for me) that I started about 15 years ago and then put it aside, dissatisfied. They were not happy times for me. Picking it up recently, I quickly realized how my nonfigurative drawings so completely reflect the mood I am in when I am doing them. A graphic such as this one will often take from 2 to 3 months to complete, so I am able to track my moods (should I want to) through the progressive color and form.
