Conceptually, a somewhat fanciful piece.
Do I ever think the machines will revolt against us? I personally doubt whether we will have the chance to create such intelligent machines before everything either falls to pieces, or we all bounce up to the fourth dimension.
The idea itself is merely a science fiction vanity, since — if we were bright enough to create a viable artificial intelligence — we’d surely be sensible enough by then to make sure there was always a manual override.
It’s not rocket science. Still, the idea persists, so perhaps some species somewhere in the Multiverse has fallen foul of this technological nightmare.
